Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy


1. Policy Statement

Eudaiton Education is committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of its work.

We believe every individual has the right to be treated with dignity, fairness and respect regardless of their background, identity or personal circumstances.

We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where learners, parents, carers, tutors, contractors, employees, applicants and partners feel welcomed, valued and supported.

Discrimination, harassment, victimisation and bullying will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

This policy applies to all individuals working for, representing or receiving services from Eudaiton Education.

2. Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to:

5. Core Organisational Commitments

To ensure this policy remains an active framework rather than just a statement of intent, Eudaiton Education explicitly commits to the following mandates:

  1. Workplace Enrichment: The organisation commits to encourage equality, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace as they are good practice and make clear business sense.

  2. Safe & Dignified Environment: The organisation commits to create a working environment free of bullying, harassment, victimisation, and unlawful discrimination, promoting dignity and respect for all, and where individual differences and the contributions of all staff are recognised and valued.

  3. Sincerity in Handling Breaches: The organisation commits to taking with the utmost sincerity any complaints of bullying, harassment, victimisation, and unlawful discrimination by fellow employees, customers, suppliers, visitors, the public, and any others in the course of the organisation’s work activities.

  4. Professional Growth: The organisation commits to make opportunities for training, development, and progress available to all staff, who will be helped and encouraged to develop their full potential, so their talents and resources can be fully utilised to maximise the efficiency of the organisation.

  5. Merit-Based Decisions: The organisation commits to make decisions concerning staff being based on merit (apart from in any necessary and limited exemptions and exceptions allowed under the Equality Act 2010).

  6. Proactive Review: The organisation commits to review employment practices and procedures when necessary to ensure fairness, and also update them and the policy to take account of changes in the law.

  7. Workforce Monitoring: The organisation commits to monitor the make-up of the workforce regarding information such as age, sex, ethnic background, sexual orientation, religion or belief, and disability in encouraging equality, diversity, and inclusion, and in meeting the aims and commitments set out in this equality, diversity, and inclusion policy.

Eudaiton Education strictly prohibits any form of unlawful or unfair discrimination, direct or indirect, based on the protected characteristics defined under the UK Equality Act 2010:

8. Recruitment and Selection

Our recruitment, onboarding, and promotional pathways are structurally aligned to maximise fairness:

  • Job descriptions and performance metrics will remain clear, relevant, and entirely non-discriminatory.

  • Career growth and developmental programs are made accessible to everyone across the company to ensure all latent talent is fully utilized.


Recruitment decisions will be based solely on:

  • Qualifications

  • Experience

  • Competence

  • Suitability for the role

9. Inclusion of Learners

We recognise that learners come from a wide variety of backgrounds and may have differing educational needs.

  • Use inclusive language and teaching approaches.

  • Promote learner confidence and wellbeing.

Tutors are expected to adapt teaching approaches where reasonable and appropriate to support learner success.

 

10. Disability and Reasonable Adjustments

Eudaiton Education is committed to supporting disabled learners, tutors and staff.

Reasonable adjustments may include:

  • Flexible communication methods.

  • Adapted learning resources.

  • Extended time where appropriate.

  • Alternative formats for documents.

  • Adjustments to recruitment processes.

  • Adjustments to training and supervision arrangements.

Requests for reasonable adjustments should be made to the Director.

Each request will be considered individually.

 

11. Harassment, Bullying and Victimisation

Eudaiton Education has a zero-tolerance approach to:

  • Harassment

  • Bullying

  • Victimisation

  • Hate speech

  • Offensive conduct

  • Discriminatory behaviour

Examples include:

  • Derogatory comments.

  • Offensive jokes.

  • Exclusion based on identity.

  • Unwanted conduct.

  • Intimidation.

  • Online harassment.

Any individual found engaging in such behaviour may face disciplinary action, termination of engagement or referral to external authorities where appropriate.

 

12. Inclusive Communication

All communications should:

  • Be respectful.

  • Be professional.

  • Use inclusive language.

  • Avoid assumptions about individuals.

  • Promote dignity and respect.

Tutors and staff are expected to communicate in a manner that supports positive educational relationships.

 

13. Responsibilities

Director

The Director is responsible for:

  • Promoting equality and inclusion.

  • Reviewing this policy.

  • Investigating concerns.

  • Ensuring legal compliance.

  • Supporting reasonable adjustments.

Tutors, Staff and Contractors

All tutors, staff and contractors must:

  • Comply with this policy.

  • Treat others with respect.

  • Challenge inappropriate behaviour where safe to do so.

  • Report concerns promptly.

  • Support inclusive practice.

 

14. Reporting Concerns

Any individual who believes they have experienced or witnessed discrimination, harassment or victimisation should report the matter to:

Reports will be treated seriously, sensitively and confidentially where possible.

Retaliation against any individual who raises a concern in good faith will not be tolerated.
