1. Policy Statement
Eudaiton Education is committed to providing safe, professional and effective educational support through collaborative working with learners, parents, carers, tutors, schools, local authorities and partner organisations.
We believe successful educational outcomes are achieved through clear communication, mutual respect, professional accountability and a shared commitment to the welfare and progress of learners.
This policy sets out the responsibilities and expectations of all parties involved in tuition services arranged, introduced or delivered through Eudaiton Education.
2. Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to:
Promote effective partnership working.
Clarify roles and responsibilities.
Support high-quality tuition delivery.
Promote safeguarding and learner welfare.
Establish communication expectations.
Support compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Provide transparency regarding service delivery arrangements.
3. Scope
This policy applies to:
Learners
Parents and carers
Tutors
Employees
Contractors
Schools
Academies
Multi-Academy Trusts
Local Authorities
Alternative Provision Commissioners
Partner organisations
Eudaiton Education staff and representatives
The policy applies to both online and in-person tuition services.
4. Employment Agency and Employment Business Status
Eudaiton Education may operate as either an Employment Agency or an Employment Business depending on the nature of the engagement.
Employment Agency Model
Where Eudaiton Education introduces a tutor directly to a parent, school, local authority or other client, and the tutor contracts directly with that client, Eudaiton Education acts as an Employment Agency.
In these circumstances:
Eudaiton Education facilitates introductions.
The tutor remains responsible for delivering services directly to the client.
Contractual arrangements may exist directly between the tutor and the client.
Tutors are generally self-employed unless otherwise agreed.
Employment Business Model
Where Eudaiton Education engages a tutor and supplies their services to a client, Eudaiton Education may act as an Employment Business.
In these circumstances:
The tutor may provide services through Eudaiton Education.
Eudaiton Education may manage aspects of payment and service delivery.
Additional contractual obligations may apply.
The specific operating model will be communicated to relevant parties before services commence.
5. Eudaiton Education's Responsibilities
Eudaiton Education will:
Safeguarding
Maintain safeguarding procedures designed to protect children, young people and vulnerable adults.
Safer Recruitment
Implement safer recruitment and vetting procedures for tutors and staff.
Tutor Suitability
Undertake appropriate checks before introducing or engaging tutors.
Matching
Make reasonable efforts to match tutors with learners based on:
Subject expertise
Qualifications
Experience
Learning needs
Availability
Communication
Provide professional and timely communication.
Quality Assurance
Monitor service quality and respond to concerns appropriately.
Data Protection
Process personal information in accordance with UK GDPR and company policies.
6. Responsibilities of Tutors
Tutors working through Eudaiton Education are expected to:
Professional Conduct
Behave professionally at all times.
Deliver tuition to an appropriate standard.
Be suitably prepared.
Maintain professional boundaries.
Safeguarding
Follow Eudaiton Education's Safeguarding Policy.
Report safeguarding concerns immediately.
Maintain required safeguarding clearances.
Complete safeguarding training where required.
Communication
Communicate professionally.
Respond promptly to reasonable enquiries.
Inform relevant parties of cancellations or delays.
Confidentiality
Protect confidential information.
Comply with data protection requirements.
Professional Responsibility
Tutors remain responsible for:
Maintaining qualifications.
Maintaining DBS status.
Maintaining professional standards.
Meeting tax obligations where self-employed.
Maintaining any required insurance arrangements.
Tutors must notify Eudaiton Education immediately of any matter that may affect their suitability to work with children or vulnerable adults.
7. Responsibilities of Parents and Carers
Parents and carers are expected to:
Provide Accurate Information
Supply accurate and up-to-date information regarding:
Educational needs
Medical information relevant to learning
Safeguarding concerns
Contact information
Support Attendance
Ensure learners attend agreed sessions wherever reasonably possible.
Communication
Inform tutors and Eudaiton Education of cancellations, concerns or significant changes affecting tuition.
Safeguarding
Raise safeguarding concerns immediately.
Learning Environment
Provide a safe and appropriate learning environment for tuition sessions.
Where tuition takes place in a family home, responsibility for the safety of the premises remains with the parent or carer.
8. Responsibilities of Learners
Learners are encouraged to:
Attend sessions punctually.
Engage positively with tuition.
Treat tutors respectfully.
Complete agreed work where appropriate.
Raise concerns if they feel uncomfortable or unsafe.
Eudaiton Education recognises that expectations should be appropriate to the learner's age, needs and circumstances.
9. Responsibilities of Schools and Commissioners
Schools, local authorities and commissioning organisations are encouraged to:
Provide relevant educational information.
Share safeguarding information where lawful and appropriate.
Inform Eudaiton Education of concerns.
Participate in reviews where required.
Support communication regarding learner progress.
Eudaiton Education will work collaboratively with commissioning organisations to support learner outcomes.
10. Tutor Information and Introductions
Before introducing a tutor, Eudaiton Education may provide relevant information including:
Qualifications
Experience
Subject specialisms
Availability
DBS status
Training information
Information will be shared in accordance with data protection requirements and legitimate business purposes.
11. Ongoing Suitability Monitoring
Eudaiton Education may undertake ongoing monitoring of tutors on its register.
Monitoring may include:
DBS status checks.
Safeguarding training reviews.
Reference updates.
Complaints reviews.
Professional conduct monitoring.
Qualification verification.
Tutors are required to cooperate with reasonable monitoring arrangements.
12. Communication Expectations
All parties are expected to communicate in a manner that is:
Respectful
Professional
Honest
Constructive
Abusive, threatening, discriminatory or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.
13. Safeguarding and Welfare
The welfare of children and vulnerable adults is paramount.
All parties share responsibility for promoting safe learning environments.
Any safeguarding concern must be reported immediately to:

If a child or vulnerable adult is believed to be at immediate risk of harm, emergency services should be contacted immediately.
14. Concerns Regarding Tutors
Where concerns arise regarding a tutor introduced, engaged or supplied by Eudaiton Education, clients should notify Eudaiton Education as soon as possible.
Eudaiton Education may:
Investigate concerns.
Request additional information.
Suspend further introductions.
Remove a tutor from its register.
Require additional training.
Make safeguarding referrals where appropriate.
The welfare of learners will always take priority.
15. Information Sharing
Information may be shared where:
There is a safeguarding concern.
There is a legitimate educational purpose.
There is a legal obligation.
Consent has been obtained where required.
Information sharing will be undertaken in accordance with UK GDPR and company policies.
16. Resolving Concerns
Eudaiton Education encourages concerns to be raised promptly.
Where possible, concerns should be resolved informally.
Where concerns cannot be resolved informally, the Complaints Policy should be followed.
Safeguarding concerns must be managed under the Safeguarding Policy.
Whistleblowing concerns must be managed under the Whistleblowing Policy.
17. Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
All individuals will be treated with dignity, fairness and respect.
Discrimination, harassment or victimisation will not be tolerated.
